Repairs to public schools are scheduled to take place all this summer. Members of the media were taken on a brief a tour of Southern High School's gym where eight doors were replaced, and doors that were once termite infested or water damaged. Guam Public School System facilities and maintenance manager Kenneth Calvo says the schedule of school repairs are available online.

He adds that Republican Senator Robert Klitzkie's legislation that allows gpss to immediately take care of projects under $5,000 has made the summer repair projects possible before the new school year begins. "There's thirty-seven schools, and if you look at our web site we've already identified all the projects every week, Monday through Friday, from carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Those projects will all be identified under $5,000 projects," Calvo confirmed.
