A measure that would extend the funding of the Public School Library
Resources Fund was introduced today. Senator Eddie Calvo (R) explains
that a portion of the monies from the Tax Collection Enhancement Fund
would be appropriated for library resources and equipment.
"This is a way of showing the Legislature's prioritization in education
and ensuring that our libraries and schools are properly funded,"
said Senator Calvo. Co-authors of Bill 130 are fellow Republican senators
Larry Kasperbauer and Bob Klitzkie.
