The Judicial Efficiency Act of 2006 was introduced today by Senator Bob Klitzkie (R). Among the many provisions in the bill, it would eliminate annual leave for all judges and justices and allow the Judicial Council to increase the annual compensation of Superior Court judges.

The measure would allow the Supreme Court to come up with guidelines and deadlines for Superior Court judges to complete their cases. Meanwhile, Senator Klitzkie also introduced a bill that would repeal the Supreme Court's authority to issue declaratory judgments.
