Keeping with news and education. As a result of collaborative efforts between Speaker Ben Pangelinan and Sen. Bob Klitzkie in Public Law 27-05 DOE has received over $200,000 from fees paid to the Guam Passport Office. The money will go toward purchasing educational resources for DOE’s libraries including various books, subscriptions and computer equipment. Sen. Klitzkie says that this is a victory for the people because libraries are the front line in the battle to help kids. Since January the department has received over three million dollars from the federal government for school repairs as well as one million for the installation of water tanks.
